Police responded to reports of an active shooter at the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California yesterday. YouTube employees fled from the scene and neighboring offices were evacuated, as Swat teams entered the main office. 1,700 people currently work at the large office, and some employees posted on twitter, updating about their terrifying ordeal. One employee mentioned seeing blood drops on the floor and stairs.
The gunman, 39-year-old Nasim Najafi Aghdam, injured three people and then turned the gun on herself. She died instantly. The police believe that Nasim was upset with YouTube’s policies and procedures, and had visited a gun range earlier in the day. Two of the victims were released from the hospital, and one remains in serious condition.
