- 1 quart wide mouth mason jar with lids
- card stock
- hole punch
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 1⁄4 cups M&M chocolate candies
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 tsp. baking soda
- 3⁄4 cups brown sugar (packed)
- 1⁄4 tsp. baking powder
In a bowl, combine baking powder, baking soda and flour. Mix well. Press firmly in the bottom of the mason jar. Add brown sugar, press firmly. Next add sugar. Lastly, add the chocolate candies. Seal mason jar with lids. Tie the jar with pretty, festive ribbon. Type or hand write the recipe name and instructions on the card stock. Punch a hole in the card stock. Attached the recipe card using ribbon.
Instructions to put on the card stock:
In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup soft butter, 1 beaten egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix until completely blended. Add the contents of the mason jar; mix well. Roll into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375*. Bake 12 to 14 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet. Makes 30 cookies.
