Road Is Altered to Recharge Electric Vehicles While Still Driving

Whats in this story

Sweden is now changing the game in EVs, and their roads, to further enhance the advantages of owning an electric vehicle. On a short road right outside of Stockholm, electrified rail has been installed. This will enable EVs to recharge while still on the go. Sweden has experimented with other recharging methods in the past, including an overhead wire system. The EVs will need to have a moveable arm on the rail, but it seems a small price to pay for this convenience.

The sale of electric vehicles has grown over the years, but only about 100,000 Americans purchased one last year. The main complaint of those considering buying one is that the battery takes too long to fill. But with this new endeavor into on-road charging, purchase of the electronic vehicle is expected to soar.
