- 1 lb. lean hamburger
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 med. onion (chopped)
- 1-2 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- dash salt
- dash pepper
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
In a large, high sided skillet, melt butter; add onion and sauté 2-3 minutes.
Add garlic and sauté 1 minute.
Add hamburger; cook until done.
Meanwhile, in a large pot, bring 2 quarts of water to a rapid boil; add macaroni.
Cook until tender; drain well and set aside.
When the hamburger is done; drain and return to the same skillet.
Add the tomatoes, sauce, macaroni, salt and pepper.
Simmer 10 minutes.
