Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War opened this past weekend. It was expected to do well, as everything Marvel releases seems to be destined to break box office records. After ten years of successful Marvel movies, Infinity War was long anticipated, and much was expected from this movie, not just in the numbers, but in what it was to deliver on screen.
Marvel did not disappoint. Not only did it open to rave reviews from both fans and critics, it raked in an estimated $640.9 million worldwide, $258.2 million domestically. It has now surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens for the top spot of biggest opening weekend ever. It looks like Marvel has done it again.
