Pork with apples go together like peanut butter and jelly! Surprise your family with this great “Pork & Fried Apple Biscuit” for breakfast. If time permits, try making your biscuits from scratch, but store bought biscuits work just as well. This biscuit is sure to be a family favorite.
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose baking mix
- 1/3 cup buttermilk
- 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter (melted, divided)
Preheat oven to 450*. In a bowl, stir together all 3 ingredients. On a floured surface knead for about 30 seconds. Roll out and pat dough to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with a biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 minutes. Brush tops with remaining melted butter.

Seasoned and pan fried until done. Drain on a paper towel.
- 2-3 Gala apples (cored and sliced very thin)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- dash salt
In a skillet, melt butter; add apples. Cook apples until they are fork-tender. About 7-10 minutes. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Mix well; continue to cook another 2-3 minutes.
